“Mark's an awesome coach; the training environment there is fantastic. Everyone's super nice, and the seminars are packed with great stuff. You always learn something new and get better at your moves. I'd totally recommend it.”

The honest answers
I'm out of shape.
That's where almost everyone starts. Class builds your conditioning. Waiting until you're fit means waiting forever.
Am I too old?
No. One of our members started after 40 and earned her blue belt two years later. Read: Am I Too Old to Start Jiu Jitsu?
Will I get hurt?
You control the pace. You tap when you're caught, your partner lets go, and you start again. Rules are enforced on this mat, and egos stay at the door.
I don't know anyone.
You will by the end of your first week. Training partners become friends fast when you're solving the same problems together.
Gi or No-Gi?
Both are on the schedule. Gi teaches grips and patience; No-Gi is faster and closer to self-defense in street clothes. Most members do both.
I wrestle. Is this worth it in the offseason?
Yes. You already have takedowns and top pressure. Jiu jitsu adds the bottom game and the scrambles that keep your mat sense sharp between seasons. It does not replace wrestling practice. Read: Offseason Wrestling Training in Milford

A large group of women train here. Blue, purple and brown belts earned on this mat.
Train, recover, repeat
Members and their families get the whole facility, not just the mat.
What members say
“I've been training Jiu Jitsu here for a while now, and this gym gets everything right. The space is great, the setting is family oriented, and it's always neat and clean. Above all, Mark Cerrone is a tremendous instructor: extremely knowledgeable, and easy to understand and follow. Mark really makes you feel at home, almost like the place is yours.”
“Have been training here for about a month and highly recommend as someone who has been training for almost two years. Clean, professional and fantastic instruction.”
“I've been training Jiu jitsu for about 5 months and I was amazed how this martial art helped me increase my confidence and strength, the instructors are professionals and willing to help improve your skills. If you want to learn self defense in a friendly environment this is the place.”
“I walked in there my 1st very intimidated and didn't know what to expect… No tough guy egos, everyone helps each other. I drive almost an hour to class and pass by many other BJJ facilities, nothing compares.”
“Enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. Personalized attention from staff offers great training from the beginner to advanced students.”
